Out Now: Doctor Who Series 6 Steelbook

The steelbook Blu-ray version of Doctor Who Series 6 is out now, but if you want a copy, we advise you be quick: previous special instalments of this range have sold out fast, leaving desperate fans to explore the depths of eBay, third party sellers, and various other secondhand sources.

This steelbook, with gorgeous new cover art, includes every episode from Matt Smith’s second full season as the Eleventh Doctor, alongside Karen Gillan as Amy Pond, Arthur Darvill, and Alex Kingston as River Song. In fact, this run of stories is rather River-heavy, which is great for fans of the time-travelling archaeologist.

Here’s the blurb, which shockingly mentions the Doctor’s soul:

The Doctor returns, alongside newlyweds Amy and Rory, to face monsters and mysteries and adventures all across time and space.

Together they find themselves in Sixties America, battling the invasion the world forgot, then journey on the high seas of 1696 aboard a pirate ship, to solve the mystery of the Siren. In a bubble universe at the very edge of reality, the Doctor meets an old friend with a new face, and in a monastery on a remote island in the near future, an industrial accident takes on a terrible human shape.

And waiting for them, at the end of all this, is the battle of Demon’s Run, and the Doctor’s darkest hour. Can even the truth about River Song save the Time Lord’s soul? Only two things are certain. Silence will fall. And a good man is going to die…

This Blu-ray includes A Christmas Carol, The Impossible Astronaut/ Day of the Moon, The Curse of the Black Spot, The Doctor’s Wife, The Rebel Flesh/ The Almost People, A Good Man Goes to War, Let’s Kill Hitler, Night Terrors, The Girl Who Died, The God Complex, Closing Time, and The Wedding of River Song.

Doctor Who Series 6 on steelbook is out now.
