The makers of Doctor Who Magazine have released a new bookazine, Print the Legend, a 116-page guide to novelisations. It covers the whole range, from hardback and paperback to audio adaptations of television stories.
Highlights include profiles of particularly notable authors, a feature on collecting rarities, a tribute to Target cover illustrator Chris Achilléos, a look at the recording of the audiobooks, and a previously unpublished extract from The Enemy of the World. David Whitaker was working on the latter before his death in 1980. Although Ian Marter ultimately adapted the story, this is fans first chance to read this section of Whitaker’s unfinished version.
Editor, Marcus Hearn said:
“The first of these books was published in 1964, and there have been 223 to date. This special issue includes details on every single one, with cover illustrations, information about reprints, foreign-language editions and much more.”
Each issue of Print the Legend comes with a free randomly selected CD audiobook.
Print the Legend is on sale now, priced £11.99 (in the UK)
