Bradley Walsh’s The Chase co-stars have been helping him understand plots and concepts for Doctor Who, according to claims they made at the National Television Awards.
The hit quiz show picked up the award for Best Quiz Show, and during the celebration, Jenny Ryan told the Radio Times:
“He’s still getting me to explain plots to him.”
Fellow Chaser, Mark Labbett claimed that he explained the concept of the TARDIS by comparing it to his fridge.
Bradley, of course, plays Graham O’Brien in the sci-fi series, with Jodie Whittaker’s Thirteenth Doctor, Mandip Gill as Yasmin Khan, and Tosin Cole as Ryan Sinclair.
While Walsh wasn’t there to refute the claims – he was off filming Doctor Who‘s next series – it’s safe to say that his co-stars weren’t being entirely serious. As well as appearing in the show’s spin-off series The Sarah Jane Adventures back in 2008, Walsh has been a fan of the series since William Hartnell played the title role.
Joking aside, Labbett described Walsh as “the best game show presenter in the world” and Ryan added that the team are “so proud of him.”
Sadly, Doctor Who didn’t win anything at the NTAs, though was nominated, as was Whittaker.
