A special lockdown project will unite 14 versions of the Doctor, played by voice impressionists and actors – including David Bradley, reprising his role as the First Doctor!
Doctors Assemble will be released online on 23rd May 2020 – that’s this Saturday!
David Bradley, of course, played William Hartnell in the 50th anniversary docu-drama, An Adventure in Space and Time; this lockdown project ties into the rewatch tweet-along of the special, which will see writer, Mark Gatiss and Sacha Dhawan (who played Waris Hussein) taking to Twitter to share behind-the-scenes secrets.
Bradley then played the First Doctor in the Twelfth Doctor’s swansong, Twice Upon A Time, and has worked for Big Finish.
He’ll be joined by Jon Culshaw (The Kingmaker); Tenth, Eleventh, and Twelfth Doctor voiceover artist, Jacob Dudman; Debra Stephenson (Dead Ringers); Wink Taylor (The Lucy Wilson Mysteries: The Bandril Invasion); and further impressionists, Jonathon Carley, Elliott Crossley, Angus Villiers-Stuart, Chris Walker-Thomson, and Peter Walsh.
Doctors Assemble, a special audio adventure, has been organised by Doctor Who Magazine‘s Emily Cook, who has also been behind the lockdown watch-alongs, including The Day of the Doctor, Dalek, Rose, The Fires of Pompeii, The Doctor’s Wife, and Vincent and the Doctor.
So expect to hear the First, Second, Third, Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, Seventh, Eighth, War, Ninth, Tenth, Eleventh, Twelfth, and Thirteenth Doctor, all together, for the very first time!
In the words of the Ninth: Fantastic.
